Dr. Raj Kumar Sharma & Dr. Meenakshi Sharma

Dr. Raj Kumar Sharma is an experienced Eye Surgeon in Jaipur, practising in the field of Ophthalmology since 1991. He specialises in vitreo-retinal surgery, trauma, retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) and medical retina. He functions from RGS Eye Centre & Retina Foundation located in Adinath Nagar opposite World Trade Park, and also consults at Sahai Hospital in Tilak Nagar. 

Dr. Raj Kumar Sharma obtained the Master of Surgery (MS) degree in Ophthalmology from SMS Medical College in Jaipur, after which he worked at the Bombay Hospital for some time. From 1992 to 1998 he was a Fellow at the Retina Foundation in Ahmedabad, where he had the opportunity to work for six years with Dr. PN Nagpal, a world-renowned Vitreo-Retinal Surgeon. Since then Dr. Sharma has performed more than 10,000 difficult vitreo-retinal surgeries with a good success rate.

Dr. Raj Kumar Sharma also completed a vitreo-retina fellowship in Wisconsin (USA) in 1995. He has about 20 publications to his name at national and international levels in various medical journals, and has won best paper awards at regional and national ophthalmology conferences in India.

Also practising at RGS Eye Centre and Retina Foundation is Dr. Meenakshi Sharma (MBBS, DNB Ophthalmology). She specialises in phacoemulsification for cataract, and squint surgery.
